Sunset from James Island Parkway; 6" x 6"
Sunset from James Island Parkway; 6" x 6"
Every time I drive the parkway from James Island towards downtown Charleston, I get so inspired. You get the most beautiful view of the harbor, Ravenel bridge, and “sky-scrapers” downtown. If you catch the light just right at sunset, the sun will reflect tiny bright orange fragments off of each window. That color with the pastel purple and pink sky behind it makes up the perfect color scheme.
This piece is painted on a 1.5”D stretched canvas, and is painted on each of those sides. I painted it with the intention of leaving it unframed and able to stand alone on a shelf, console table, mid-large side table, etc. If you do choose to frame, though, I would suggest a floater frame! It can easily be hung as well, although it currently doesn’t have any hardware in place to do so. Email me for more information if needed.
